NEST LEARNING THERMOSTAT INFORMATION

January 26, 2020

The Board has now completed all the research around installation of alternate thermostats for our homes. Currently the Peco T180 thermostat does a great job for all Owners, however it is not as simple to use nor is it a "smart" thermostat like others on the market today.

After consultation with multiple firms, Nest 3rd Generation Learning thermostats have been approved for installation if you so desire. Please note the 3rd Generation is key and we ask that if you decide to install a Nest, you ensure it is a 3rd Generation.

We have also sourced out several firms that both supply and install Nest. The Board does NOT endorse any one firm over the other however we do recommend the use of a Certified Nest Pro installer as there are advantages that they can outline to you.

The firms we have contacted (in alphabetical order) are:

  • Arpi's

  • D4 Systems

  • Knight Plumbing and heating

The above firms have provided us with Champagne "preferred pricing" for both purchase of the units with installation as well as installation only.

We did contact Best Buy - Geek Squad as well however as they are more retail oriented and asked that Owners contact them directly.

If you have any questions regarding this, you contact our Communications Committee via email at qpchampagne.communications@gmail.com

Below you will find the Programming Quick Guide for the T180 Thermostats that were installed at the time of construction in your units.
